The Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway
Boston, MA

The Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway is a new ribbon of contemporary urban parks in the heart of Boston built over the construction known as “The Big Dig.”¬† On September 10, 2011, a glorious, cloudless day, The Wave was installed in the Wharf Parks District of the Greenway, one block from the Boston Harbor and the New England Aquarium and between a series of 12 light blades in the heart of the central lawns. ¬†Residents of neighboring apartment buildings overlooking the site, parents and children enjoying the Ring’s Fountain and the numerous activities occurring in the vicinity, couples strolling along the walkways and tourists staying in nearby hotels all helped to make a stunning Wave billowing briskly in the wind coming off the water.
